Extracting images from PDFs

Converting PDF pages to images is useful for sharing specific pages, using PDF content in presentations, or extracting diagrams and charts.

Each page of the PDF becomes a separate PNG image. Use the scale setting to control resolution — 2× is recommended for sharp results on most screens.

The PDF is processed using PDF.js, a trusted open-source library from Mozilla. Your file is never uploaded.

Frequently Asked Questions

What scale should I use?

2× gives sharp results suitable for most purposes. Use 3× for printing or when you need high-resolution output. Higher scales result in larger files and slower processing.

Are password-protected PDFs supported?

Currently the tool does not support password-protected PDFs. Remove the password protection first using another tool.

Why is it slow on large PDFs?

Each page is rendered on an HTML5 Canvas in the browser, which is CPU-intensive. Large PDFs with many pages will take more time.
